  2. So for 2 1/2 years, Obama was overwhelmed with finding Osama Bin Laden that he couldn’t take a one minute break from his 75 rounds of golf to show his birth certificate. He was so busy finding Bin Laden, that he neglected our economy, unemployment, securing our borders, putting together an illegal immigration plan, spending our country into oblivion, meeting with the unions, finding ways to reward those who agree with him, kept the Guantanamo Bay Detention facility open, kept us in Iraq, Afghanistan and now involved in Libya, filling in the brackets for the NCAA March Madness brackets, etc, etc, etc.

    • Your rant is completely bizarre. First, this is a joke — not Obama’s actual words. It seems like I might need to point that out to you.

Secondly, it’s ugly that you’re truly, obviously pissed off about the birth certificate! Look in the mirror and ask yourself why you would believe that Obama wasn’t born in Hawaii. I’ll venture it’s because he’s black. Don’t bother telling me you’re not racist — birthers are racists. The birth certificate issue is racist and Trump’s popularity because of the birth certificate issue is a response to his dog whistling to the racists — you know, the ones who carry the Obama witch doctor signs to tea party rallies or send monkey pictures with Obama’s face to their Republican friends.

      Gah.

  4. As a European, I can hardly understand over sixty percent of the comments I hear and see Americans make on a daily basis.

To a large portion of the world, the US comes over as a bunch of illiterate morons, with prehistoric idea’s about morale and what goes on in the rest of the world.
Whilst this idea is most likely wrong, It seems a small percentage of US citizens is trying its best to make it look that way by responding to jokes with entire rant posts, and making claims that are to ridiculous to even come up with.
But worst of all is that you cant go into a discussion with these people, because they believe that they are one hundred percent right, and everyone with a different opinion should be silenced “with extreme prejudice”.

Its time the US realises that they are by no means the “best and brightest” of the world, and stop acting retarded about silly things like “a birth certificate” because ofcourse! I could just go run for presidency in 2012, I mean, its not like anyone will ask me about my credentials, right? right?

That you have influential people and entire news networks come up with bogus stories like that is just cracking us Europeans up, I mean watching fifty percent of your news broadcasts are just hilarious.

All in all, to all you Americans, be it smart or retarded, invest more in education, because even one person like Lee here is enough to make ya’ll look like retards.
(Yes Lee, this rant was directed at YOU).

    Sincerely
    Maxim Janssens

    • As an intelligent American I can hardly understand over sixty percent of this comment. I counted 12 grammatical/definitional mistakes in your post, Maxim, and I cannot think of a better example of the pot calling the kettle black than your exertion that US citizens are “by no means the ‘best and brightest’ of the world,” and “retarded.”

Before you posted this, perhaps you should have considered that your comment is over twice as long as Lee’s “entire rant post,” and that fact alone makes you look like a hypocritical fool. Add to that the fact that you apparently didn’t ever pay attention in grammar class and are unable to write (or most likely speak) coherent English, and you have effectively represented yourself and other European people “as a bunch of illiterate morons.”

Let me make it clear that I am in no way defending Lee or the “birther” movement. They truly are a bunch of ignorant cretins who are belaboring a political nuance that should have been put to rest in 2008. What I am doing is calling you an idiot. Do yourself a favor and get off your European high-horse (if you even are from Europe). Before you criticize anyone’s intelligence or education, make sure you are in a tenable position to do so, or, as in this case, you make a complete dunce of yourself.

      • haha says a lot of the same things as mine… 8 hours later. haha That’s my fault; I didn’t post it as a reply like I should have. Read mine; I think you’ll like it. lmao

      • hmm, Maxim Janssens… I’m betting English isn’t his first language. Might help explain the grammatical errors (which you didn’t actually point out any specific errors).

  5. Just as a side note, your entire statement claiming that it seems Americans are illiterate loses considerable ground because your spelling, punctuation, and grammar appears to be at the same level as a young child. (Here in the United States, we try to avoid run-on sentences, too.)
Furthermore, according to the most recent studies, the United States is surpassed by the following countries in a survey of the percentage of the population that has earned an AA degree or higher as an indicator of the education level of the countries: Russian Federation, Canada, Israel, Japan, and New Zealand.
Nowhere on that list do I see a European country. Therefore, one has no choice but to surmise from the beginning that you lack substantial grounds to make a claim about the education level of America because, as you claim you are European, your education infrastructure is inferior to America’s. Hence, your claims lack valid perspective, and the validity of your entire argument is jeopardized.
I acknowledge that you said the assumption that all Americans are “illiterate morons” is probably wrong. However, you spend most of the rest of your comment saying exactly the opposite. This contradiction only stands to erode any remaining legitimacy your argument may have.

Your lack of valid knowledge of America’s level of education speaks volumes about your abnormally high level of ignorance. You presume to have an accurate purview of both Americans and our way of life, but the many inconsistencies in your argument say otherwise.

How can you critique Americans claiming they’re illiterate when you don’t seem to be able to write above a fifth grade level? (So far, I’ve counted 15 mistakes, and that is quite a bit considering the length of your comment.)

How can we accept your critique of American people when you refuse to claim a specific nationality yourself? (You only refer to yourself as a “European.”)

How are we supposed to accept your critique of Lee’s ignorance of the purpose of a small picture when your entire comment reveals you to hold purely ignorant views on an exponentially larger scale? (Lee is ignorant of the humor, meaning, and purpose of the picture; you are ignorant of an entire country’s people and the education level of every country in Europe.)

I sincerely hope that, by claiming yourself as just another “European,” you are not implying that all Europeans are as ignorant of a valid world-view as you are. I know many Europeans; they are intelligent and kind people, and it would be a great insult to the countless rational and educated people of the continent, Europe, for you to assert yourself as a representative of Europe’s population. Thus, I genuinely hope that you are just an outlier, a small insignificant weed in the garden of life, and the world isn’t actually filling up with unenlightened obtuse people like yourself.

    Yours Truly,
    Drew Boggess

    • Drew,
Why don’t you try writing your post in your second language, and see how it goes. I’m sure you won’t have any tense, grammatical, or punctuation errors…

      • Are you suggesting that Maxim wrote that post in his or her second language? If so, based off what knowledge? Regardless, however, his lack of grounds to comment on the quality of American education will remain.

      • Funny, that’s exactly what I thought while Lee, justknappin and Drew were making fools of themselves. It’s pretty obvious English is not Maxim’s first language. That kinda negates any silly retorts about grammar and punctuation.

  6. I’m from belguim, flemish, My first language is dutch, then french, then german, then spanish and then english.

  7. Also, I refer here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Education_Index
and I could get the direct link to the file on the UN site aswell, if you believe wikipedia is bogus.

Also speaking of “AA degrees” is as invalid as you claim my comment to be. In most countries you cant major in pot bakery for example.

    • Oh, you must also have no clue what an AA degree is because, if you did, you’d know that it’s a general education degree and does not have a “major” or an area of emphasis, such as “pot bakery.” It is just for completing a wide range of basic courses in a full variety of basic subjects such as math, English, science, and history. So yes, it is actually a good determiner.

  8. Oh, indeed, thank you for this information, I was clearly using outdated information to support my argument.

    • I didn’t actually research what an AA degree was comprised of, instead going off of experience. If I was incorrect, I apologize in that regard.
