I’ll be having cervical surgery soon (ADR), so as someone staring down a $5,000 deductible this year (with standard BCBS!), these reforms are very welcome. There hasn’t been ONE year that my insurance premiums haven’t increased — nor one year that the % of increase wasn’t greater than any cost of living wage increase I may have received.

What service do health insurance companies provide again? Shouldn’t we all be paying into some kind of central SOCIALIST health-network so we can just be 100% covered for health care and skip the corporate raiders completely? Just get on with the 21st century and civilization?  I’m very Lutheran about healthcare: there shouldn’t have to be a middleman / priest between us and doctors / God.
