Yesterday Mitt Romney suggested that the President was going to remove God from our currency and Mitt made it very clear that he would be against that. So here’s a helpful list of some other very serious things that Mitt Romney might suggest Obama will remove that Romney would also fight:
- apples from America’s apple pies
- the ’7′ from 7-Elevens
- the word allegiance from the Pledge
- the Instagram app from your iPhone
- the ‘auto brew’ option on your coffee maker
- loud, country music from all Texas Roadhouse restaurants
- cheap, garbage bag raincoats from NASCAR races
- crosses from churches …no, wait! forget that.
Here are some things that Obama actually wants to remove that Mitt probably doesn’t want to talk about…
- Bush’s tax cuts for the wealthy
- restrictions to health insurance coverage
- troops from Afghanistan
- barriers to marriage equality
- any option to turn Medicare into a voucher system
- insurance industry’s ban on covering contraception
- definitions of rape, such as “legitimate,” “honest,” or “forcible.”
And things Obama has already removed or stopped:
- Osama bin Laden
- DADT
- War in Iraq
- Moammar Gaddafi
- long waits for returning veterans to receive services and care by increasing the VA’s budget
- approval for Bush’s “enhanced” interrogation techniques considered inhumane under the Geneva Conventions
- banks from the student loan program, ending the wasteful decades-old practice of subsidizing banks to provide college loans
- spiraling job losses with the stimulus, creating more private sector jobs than were created in five of eight years of the Bush Administration
- the imminent death of the American auto industry
- the practice of paying women less than men for performing the same job with the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act
And there’s more. And more. And even more.
