State Suspends Permit Of Man In Gun Control Rage Video

In a statement released Friday officials said they had suspended the handgun carry permit of James Yeager, CEO of Tactical Response based on “material likelihood of risk of harm to the public”. [...]

“The number one priority for our department is to ensure the public’s safety. Mr. Yeager’s comments were irresponsible, dangerous, and deserved our immediate attention. Due to our concern, as well as that of law enforcement, his handgun permit was suspended immediately. We have notified Mr. Yeager about the suspension today via e-mail. He will receive an official notification of his suspension through the mail,” Commissioner Bill Gibbons said.

Yeager, CEO of Tactical Response, a company that offers training to civilians in weapons and tactical skills, has multiple certifications with several different types of weapons. Officials with the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security were explicit in stating that the Yeager was not a Department of Safety and Homeland Security certified instructor, nor is his school department certified.

MrCensureMoi: Here is Yeager’s original video, which he subsequently pulled from his YouTube channel and replaced — removing the “I’m going to start killing people!” portion (near the end):

  1. He only said what every serviceman and woman has sworn an oath to do. “I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic..
Did you think that meant they would give them a stern talking to? No, it meant to kill.
Now because he swore to protect and defend any who tried to violate his 2nd Amendment Right they have violated his 1st Amendment Right!
Can they revoke a permit? Can there even be a PERMIT for a Right? No! It’s a Right! You can issue permits for Privileges. Rights are ours! No amount of legislation can change that.

    • It’s funny that you guys who threaten to take up arms against your own country for perceived violations against the 2nd Amendment never raise a finger or a concern over real violations of the 4th, 5th, 9th, or 14th Amendments.

      • One cause at a time, But you’re right we should value all of them equally. It’s just with the 2nd gone we can never get around later to the others. Procrastination we afford when we can.

  2. @asleep: Not sure what planet you may be from, but on this one, our rights always come with limits. Please stop pretending otherwise. (Unless you’re a king. Then you get to make all the rules within your borders.)

  3. But don’t worry, he has the right skin color and politics. They’ll give him a stern talking to, and it’ll be business as usual by Monday.

  4. This man appears manic. The best thing that can happen to him is for someone he trusts to talk him into getting to a doctor. I mean that sincerely.

  5. Bullshit, that’s the beauty of the 2nd Amendment. No limits, no changes. Shall not be infringed. Self explanatory, unless you’re unsure of the meaning. Admit it. You don’t know what that means do you? Google 2nd Amendment + George Washington and so forth with the following names Ben Franklin, John Adams, Samuel Adams and Thomas Jefferson. An education that comes so easily is a wonderful thing. Oh and what planet? I’m from this one. Where we find out from the authors what something written means. We don’t just wing it.

      • He doesn’t look like what you think he should? I’ve met soldiers from almost every country and all I can tell you is they all look different. Some even look like your picture. Does he look like a cop? He shouldn’t, but he was one!

    • So all other amendments might have limits, but not the second? What sofa you been smoking?

Please educate us on how the fact that you can’t legally own a fully-auto weapon (let alone an AC-130 gunship) is not a limitation, but not being able to own a semi-auto is. Or the fact that what you can or can’t own, and how you can get them, changes every couple decades or so?

For something so absolute, it’s quite confusing to us “uneducated”.

      • Reading comprehension problem? Or have you just not read it? “Shall not be infringed”. Wonderful for us that value this Amendment. It should have been stated for the 1st as well, but oh well. We do at ;east have it for the 2nd. Explain why I can’t own an fully-auto weapon? I can’t explain that. The 2nd Amendment says I can. My explanation is that for too long the American people have allowed their own government to ride rough shod over us and the Constitution and Bill of Rights. We were given the 2nd to protect us from tyranny in Government. How else but to keep and bear the same weapons as this Tyrannical Government would we be able to combat it? You should understand just why the Government can have no say in which weapons we are to “Keep and Bear”. Licensing, and permits for these weapons is also in direct conflict with the 2nd Amendment. “Shall Not Be Infringed”. Prior to the National Firearms act of 1934 we still had these rights. So yes the NFA of 1934 is illegal. As is the Gun Control Act of 1968 and the NFA of 1986! It’s a blessing to all of us that consider ourselves Patriots. We prior servicemen and women who swore an oath to support and defend the constitution against all enemy’s both foreign and domestic can know we are within our rights as defenders of the Constitution in disobeying unjust laws in our defense of the Country.

  6. Asleep, if you’re going to accuse other people of having a reading comprehension problem, then I think you should explain why you and so many other angry conservative blog commenters capitalize regular nouns like “Country”. I’ve noticed this in many places.

More importantly however, I’d like to know why, in this country, which is arguably the most free nation in the history of the world, do you and people like Mr. Yeager here fell the need to threaten to use violence against your own nation at the slightest sign of imagined trouble? This nation is simply trying to have a discussion about serious issues, and your first response is to try to justify murder. Call it “honoring your oath” if you wish, but that’s bullshit. What it really is, is treason. People who participate in a democracy by voting, petitioning and protesting government are patriots (note the lower-case p there), while people who threaten to shoot up the place when government talks about what to do about the very real problem of mass murder are certainly not.

    • Comprehension is understanding what you’ve read and has nothing to do with spelling, grammar or punctuation. Are you a college boy? How do you like being schooled by somebody who didn’t finish the eight grade? Why I capitalize Country? I’m Patriotic and feel very strongly about my Country. Call it artistic license. With so many Important ideals discussed here for you to take the time to call attention to this one is at best, petty. “Arguably the most free nation in the history of the world”. You should perhaps delve into this a little deeper. We were much freer prior to the Revenue Act of 1913 and the National Firearms Act of 1934. We as a nation lost much of our freedoms after both of these Anti-Constitutional assaults were committed upon the Citizenry. Even now many countries in the Far East have many more liberties than our nation and are permitted fully automatic weapons as our Bill of Rights is meant to afford us. So that is an argument you’ve lost before starting. I quote you; “do you and people like Mr. Yeager here fell the need to threaten to use violence against your own nation at the slightest sign of imagined trouble?” Well my answer to you on this is that the slightest trouble you speak of has metastasized into the total dissemination of our Constitution. The 4th amendment has been gutted by NDAA and prior to that the TSA. Now anytime someone speaks up in defense of their Rights that are being trampled and stolen by a government with an agenda and say what lengths they’re willing to go to in defense of them, You and others will call them names and attempt to degrade them with verbal attacks on their person.”Honoring your Oath”. Bullshit? Firstly this is NOT a DEMOCRACY! We are a REPUBLIC. Learn the difference. That is another subject worth fighting for if you knew the difference you might agree. You would have to know what rights you had and the need for them in order to understand what rights have been taken from you. You should, for the sake of your children look into this. “Treason” is what is committed against the Constitution and never in it’s defense. Petitioning a Government that has already proven themselves above the law of the Constitution and Beyond reproach would be a pointless task. Our country is what it is because of the Constitution not in spite of it as Mr. Obama professes and is why he is guilty of Treason.Taking up arms in defense of the Constitution is what is advocated by Alexander Hamilton, Thomas Jefferson and a great ,many more of our founding fathers who gave us the 2nd Amendment Right for this very reason. An education is there for the taking and at your fingertips. Many more mass murders have been stopped because of personal firearms than have been committed. Investigate why your Government has Suppressed this information. While publicizing the atrocities. Prove your Patriotism with some investigation. And Kevin, try to let the upper case and lower case rest. It’s not worth getting upset over.. I use the Upper Case instead of cussing to place importance on some words. such as ‘Fuck you and your lower case.’ See?

      • I have just a few points before I get off of this wacky merry-go-round with you:

        1) Repeating the same bullet points isn’t the same thing as proving your point. You and nearly every NRA member skirt the fact that the 2nd Amendment begins with the words “A well regulated militia…”

        2) Saying that we are a republic and not a democracy makes you sound like a member of the John Birch Society. Get out of your bubble, take your own advice and do some research to find out why certain phrases make you sound unhinged.

        3) Every single person who advocated violence in the history of the world thought he had a good reason. Yours is no better than any other. You are advocating violence against your own nation. That is a crime, and helps prove your opponents’ point that some people are too dangerous to own automatic weapons.

        4) Even if your paranoid (yes, paranoid, or as you might say, “Paranoid”) dystopian view of government were true, they have everything from armed helicopters to nuclear weapons. If that battle comes, good luck with your AK.

        5) I’m done. I know when I’m talking to a brick wall. Feel free to continue without me. You can go on proving that some gun advocated are unhinged without my help. Maybe try to worry about the real problems of the world without dwelling on the imaginary ones.

      • #1.I’m not very fond of the NRA and believe they are mostly pussy’s and blame them for the National Firearms Act of 1934. It has gone downhill from then. I have never skirted the Militia question and welcome it as a chance to show you’ve been lied to. As almost everyone I’ve had this conversation with, has been lied to. As I was. You have no idea what a MILITIA is so I will tell you what George Mason (Father of the Bill of Rights) said it is and what it meant when HE wrote it in the 2nd Amendment; “I ask, sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people, except for a few public officials.” and, from another of the founding fathers; “Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man against his own bosom. Congress have no power to disarm the militia. And what type of weapons should be at our disposal? Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American…[T]he unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people.”
Tenche Coxe, The Pennsylvania Gazette, Feb. 20, 1788
.(every type of weapon the soldier can carry, not just muskets as you have been told.)

#2 My saying we are a Republic and not a Democracy would be self explanatory to you if you’d not react before reading and understanding what it is. Ben Franklin said
Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.
When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic.
They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither safety nor liberty.
Where liberty dwells, there is my country. And mine as well.
Get out of my bubble? I have been all over the world and served this country while visiting in many others. It was a big bubble. How big is yours? If this makes me sound anything like unhinged, it is only for your lack of knowledge.

#3 You’re right about my reason being no better than anyone else. But, it is as good as at least one group. Our founding fathers. Americans started stockpiling guns and ammunition in violation of British laws.We are doing it now for fear of the attacks on the Constitution. Those that do not learn from history will have to repeat it. Do you think we would have ever become a free nation if we’d been afraid to take up arms in the beginning? I do not advocate taking up arms against my own country. I love my county and enlisted in the Marine Corps. I believe that gives me the right to say what I believe here. As far as automatic weapons? My country gave me automatic weapons and then taught myself and all my friends how to use them. We lived with, ate with and slept with automatic weapons. When my enlistment was completed I am suddenly not qualified to handle them? Really? And the opponents that find fault with my possession of them? Well, they are no better informed than you and just more of the many that I enlisted to fight for and protect. You’re welcome.
As far as it being a crime to take up weapons against a tyrannical government? Tyranny as described by Thomas Jefferson is a government that allows itself weapons it does not allow its citizens. So by his definition I say we qualify yes? Thomas Jefferson said “I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. Already they have raised up a moneyed aristocracy that has set the government at defiance. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.” Thomas Jefferson

“If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.” Thomas Jefferson. He also said it was not only advisable to overthrow the government but our duty. Do you advise otherwise?

#4 Paranoid? What do I have to be paranoid about? I have a President that views the Constitution as a hindrance to his goals and has said so. Really? Good! I hope it proves to much more than that as it was written to stop him cold in his tracks and for our sake I hope it does. If not? Then we’ll have to see if all those Helicopters, nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction who incidentally will be operated by my brothers and sister, sons and daughters whom I served with and who all took the same Oath I did. And whose loyalties are with me and not the attackers of our beloved constitution. Remember, it was a bunch of poor dirt farmers from Vietnam and Afghanistan that were able to hold off both mighty US and Russian forces with all their armament and they didn’t have the luxury of having loved ones at the controls of the attacking vehicles. I feel OK with my small arms.

#5 Imaginary Problems? You are serious, aren’t you. I guess if I was relying on the Mainstream Media to get my information I might view current events as you do. Jefferson said The man who reads nothing at all is better educated than the man who reads nothing but newspapers. Iguess that goes for television as well. The media being nothing more than the propaganda of the Government. Believe me I would give anything to wake up tomorrow and have a rosy an outlook as you seem to. I had dreamed of growing old with my grand kids and watching them grow into adulthood as my grand father did his grandchildren. It had been my lifelong dream. I worked for it and believed I’d earned it. but now everything I fought for is being attacked. My children and theirs are being saddled with bills they did not incur. We have a Media that is controlled by the elite. We are taxed to line the pockets of rich bankers who’ve done nothing to earn it. Our children are being sent in to fight wars designed only to fatten the wallets of rich men I or they will never meet. And on top of all this I have to explain myself to someone who is oblivious to it all for no other reason than he is to lazy to investigate it for himself. I have to fight now to keep the weapons I’d already earned the right to posses . and as I fight to regain these rights I can be assured that sometime down the road,.not tomorrow or the next year even, but generations from now when the rich get greedy and the citizens become complacent….this will all have to happen again. I wonder how many of the founding fathers made this statement?
        In conclusion I’d like to quote once again a great man with all that’s left to protects us;
The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first.-Thomas Jefferson

  7. Don’t forget this is the same guy who is threatening to kill people for calling him a coward and is asking people to sign a “dueling contract” so he can ambush them when they show up.

    • He had been bombarded with internet commandos that saw a video of a ambush/firefight. They, believing actual combat should mimic Hollywood’s depiction of it cried coward! Out of frustration James invited them to come say it in person but as a precaution wanted them to sigh a release form so that they couldn’t just pick a fight and sue. Maybe not. the route you or even I would have gone but it did give him a way to voice his frustration. Incidentally concerning the ambush, all the people calling him names were wrong and every vet knows he did what you’re supposed to do. For you to report half a story is spreading half truths and a lie by omission is still a lie. Either tell the whole story or don’t tell it at all.
