The entitlements of the job “creators” (i.e. the sneering plutocrats)

Steven Pearlstein wrote an excellent “manifesto” for the entitled, the job “creators.” Here is some of it, be sure to click through and read the whole thing:

I am entitled to a healthy and well-educated workforce, a modern and efficient transportation system and protection for my person and property, just as I am entitled to demonize the government workers who provide them.

I am entitled to complain bitterly about taxes that are always too high, even when they are at record lows.

[...] I am entitled to have my earned income taxed as capital gains and my investment income taxed at the lowest rate anywhere in the world — or not at all.

I am entitled to inside information and favorable investment opportunities not available to ordinary investors. I am entitled to brag about my investment returns.

I am entitled to pass on my accumulated wealth tax-free to heirs, who in turn, are entitled to claim that they earned everything they have.

I am entitled to use unlimited amounts of my own or company funds to buy elections without disclosing such expenditures to shareholders or the public.

[...] I am entitled to fire any worker who tries to organize a union. I am entitled to break any existing union by moving, or threatening to move, operations to a union-hostile environment.

I am entitled to a duty of care and loyalty from employees and investors who are owed no such duty in return.

I am entitled to operate my business free of all government regulations other than those written or approved by my industry.

I am entitled to load companies up with debt in order to pay myself and investors big dividends — and then blame any bankruptcy on over-compensated workers.

I am entitled to contracts, subsidies, tax breaks, loans and even bailouts from government, even as I complain about job-killing government budget deficits.

I am entitled to federal entitlement reform.

I am entitled to take credit for all the jobs I create while ignoring any jobs I destroy. Continued…

Crusades 2.0: the video presentation of Norwegian terrorist Anders Behring Breivik

It could also be called “Threat Level: Jesus” or “Watch Out! There’s a Marxist Under the Bed!”  or “Satan Loves Diversity.” It’s interesting that there are Christian conservatives now commenting on my posts, claiming that Breivik wasn’t a Christian conservative because (enter various reasons here). The thing is, he called himself that. Sorry. By the same argument, Catholics consider themselves Christian, but many Christian fundamentalists don’t recognize Catholicism as Christian either. Same with Mormonism. I guess we’ll just have to let God sort it all out in the End.

I don’t know how long the video below will stay up (they’re being pulled off of YouTube and another pops up) but if this link fails, you can search for it by the title which Breivik gave it, “Knights Templar 2083“:

Some screen shots from the video are below, and a description of Breivik’s manifesto and the video from the New York Times:

On Saturday, Norway’s TV2, citing police sources, reported that the suspect uploaded a video to YouTube and a 1,500-page manifesto, written in English, to the Norwegian Web site Freak.no just hours before the attacks.

Both the manifesto, “2083: A European Declaration of Independence,” and the YouTube video were signed “Andrew Berwick,” an apparent Anglicization of Anders Breivik. Both also make extensive reference to the Crusades and the supposed threats to Christian Europe posed by Muslim immigrants and leftist political leaders…

The video’s captions call on conservatives to “embrace martyrdom.” The text also says that if “the multiculturalist elites of Europe continue to refuse to voluntarily transfer political and military power to our conservative revolutionary forces,” then World War II “is likely going to appear as a picnic compared to the coming carnage.”

The video’s extensive text also bemoans the fact that postwar “Europe never had any politicians of the McCarthy caliber.” It complains of “the demonization of cultural conservatives” and the “persecution and vilification of nationalists” by “liberal elites,” who are described as “cultural Marxists.”

An image of President Obama appears at one point in the video, as the text describes a strategy of cultural Marxists to “systematically vilify ancestral heroes and instead glorify new, more appropriate ‘idols’ who adhere to Marxism.”

Watch the video above and try to tell me that many of these images and ideas (aside from the Knights Templar bullshit) ARE NOT typical teaparty fare, that they’re not something we’ve all grown accustomed to here in America.

NOT from Breivik’s video:

When Fox News starts pinning this guy on Progressives, lets see if they mention this:

Programs must be developed to find solutions to stopping ALL immigration pollution and the anchor baby filth that follows that. Find solutions to stopping it. Call for people in the world to develop solutions to stop it completely and permanently. Find solutions FOR these countries so they stop sending their breeding populations to the US and the world to seek jobs and therefore breed more unwanted pollution babies. FIND SOLUTIONS FOR THEM TO STOP THEIR HUMAN GROWTH AND THE EXPORTATION OF THAT DISGUSTING FILTH! (The first world is feeding the population growth of the Third World and those human families are going to where the food is! They must stop procreating new humans looking for nonexistant jobs!) – James Jae Lee
