New York to Commemorate 9/11: New York City will commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks with a ceremony at the World Trade Center site on Sunday, when the nation pauses to grieve for the dead and reflect on the decade since terrorists toppled the Twin Towers, damaged the Pentagon and crashed a jetliner in rural Pennsylvania.
Flight 93 National Memorial service set for today: SHANKSVILLE – Thousands are expected to descend upon the Flight 93 National Memorial today, the tenth anniversary of the terrorist attacks that rocked the nation.
President Obama to Attend All Three 9/11 Memorials Sunday: U.S. President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama will attend memorials Sunday at all three sites of the September 11, 2001 attacks. The Obamas will travel to New York Sunday to attend the 10th anniversary ceremony at the National September 11 Memorial, located at the World Trade Center site. The Obamas will then head to Shanksville, Pennsylvania for an anniversary observance of the crash of Flight 93 during the attacks 10 years ago. Later, the president and first lady will travel to the Pentagon for a wreath-laying ceremony honoring the victims of the attack on the massive Defense Department building.

Tribute in Light: Following the attacks of September 11th, the skyline of New York has been lit up on every anniversary since with 88 searchlights to mark where the Twin Towers used to stand.
