DC’s collective IQ dropped 50 points during this rally. This has to be the best representation of the Fox News Channel viewing audience that has ever been filmed. It’s like a National Geographic special that documents the stupidest people in America in their natural habitat (lawn chairs and ignorance). No wonder they love Palin and Beck!
NewLeftMedia – While the speaker list was diverse, the overwhelmingly white crowd expressed paranoid and conspiratorial fears of multiculturalism—that atheists or black liberation theologists or radical Muslims or “free-loading” Latinos were going to ruin our country. There was the constant suggestion that white Christians and their way of life are somehow under assault, and that the attendees of this rally were here to put an end to it and return the country to what it used to be.
The Onion isn’t even satire anymore, it’s straight reporting:
“I learned all that really matters about the Muslim faith on 9/11,” Gentries said in reference to the terrorist attacks on the United States undertaken by 19 of Islam’s approximately 1.6 billion practitioners. “What more do I need to know to stigmatize Muslims everywhere as inherently violent radicals?”
Note: I quoted a different paragraph than Brian Kane did in his post.
